I’m Sam, I’m a software engineer with just shy of two decades of experience. Most recently that’s been with Python and Django, but I’ve done PHP, Java, JavaScript, etc, as well as Python sans Django (flask and custom) and enough DevOps work (Ansible, mainly) to deploy the things I’ve built.
I’m looking for just about anything; if you’re at a coop and you’re considering turning down work due to not having enough developers, bring me in on a short term contract. Eventually I’d like to become a member of a coop, especially one deeply entrenched in the coop ecosystem so I can help make it stronger.
I was kindly linked to this forum, on my #FediHire thread yesterday.
I’m looking for part time work right now, and I’d love to work for a project that is making the world better instead of worse! This seems like the right place to fulfil that modest dream
I’m based in Brighton, UK. I’m an artist with skills like:
websites, fedi sysadmin
graphic design, video editing, VJ
audio editing, mixing, mastering, remixes
bartending & retail
email & socials marketing, “content” creation
any office admin, spreadsheets, all that exciting stuff
So, kind of an “all-rounder” I guess. I will do the office bits no-one else wants to do! Being a musician in the Age of Spotify has given me a heart of pure steel, lol.
I’m a software contractor based in London with about 12 years of experience.
I’m fairly tech agnostic but I’ve done a lot of work in Node/React, Python and Clojure specifically.
Before I moved to freelance/contracting I worked primarily in a mix education startups and software consultancies. Some notable clients I worked with back then include Heineken, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas and Contiki.
Since moving to London in 2019 most of my work has been finance/fintech related.
I’m new to the coop scene and still finding my way around, but I hope to get move involved over time.
If anyone needs help on an upcoming project let me know or if a group of people/coops is considering tendering for a contract I’d also be interested in participating.
I don’t seem to be able to link to or upload my resume because my account is new but feel free to message or email me for a copy.
Hey folx, I’m looking for work atm if anyone has anything they need taking care of. I’ve had a grand old time working with several co-ops in the network already. Can share my CV on request. I’m usually found setting up / maintaining free software infrastructure, doing system administration and implementing backend systems in Python/Go.
I’m a software engineer who’s still early in his career, but already sick of the culture in shareholder owned companies. I’m excited by the possibilities of tech cooperatives to provide a real alternative to the growth-at-all costs mindset of the mainstream industry.
My professional experience so far has been in frontend development, with my main job being building React components to implement a design system. However I’ve also got a keen interest in backend work and compilers/interpreters, and if I could move my career in that direction I’d be very interested.
I’m a polyglot engineer who loves picking up new languages, both computer and human ones. I’m currently learning C++ and Japanese! I’ve got the most experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Zig. I’m technically minded and getting down to the brass tacks of how to build a system is the side of software engineering I love the most.
If there are any opportunities in the cooperative space (whether frontend or not!), please reach out.
