I would be delighted if you can attend a workshop on the morning (9am-2pm inc. lunch) of February 10th 2026 at Friends Meeting House in Central London, which I am organising alongside my colleagues Dr Stephen Allen (University of Sheffield) and Professor Matt Watson (University of Sheffield). I am contacting you because of your interests in understanding and developing leading practices of democracy and sustainability in that cooperatives are a key form of democratic organisation.
The purpose of the workshop on February 10th is to collaboratively develop ideas for key research agendas and questions on the connections between organisational democracy and ecological sustainability, with a view to enabling better support and propagation of both across different workplaces.
Also, during the workshop, there will be plenty of time for networking with the other attendees. Based on the output of the workshop we will be developing a large funding application to the Economic and Social Research Council (hopefully with some willing partners from the workshop) to address core areas of interest arising from the workshop discussions and oriented towards making a difference.
