How can ordinary people take control of their own financial futures? And how can we fund sustainable energy without relying on a system built to extract wealth?
Join us for an interactive session on community finance, featuring speakers from Kin Cooperative and Repowering London. We’ll explore alternative financial models that prioritise people over profit, from grassroots money pools to community-funded renewable energy projects.
What to Expect:
Kin Coop’s Interactive Session will show us what our collective wealth looks like. We’ll also learn about kin.coop their digital tool which is inspired by traditional money pools (pardna, hagbad, susu, and more). It’s all about sharing wealth, building trust, and creating financial resilience—without banks, interest, or credit scores.
Repowering London will talk us through how cooperatively owned energy projects are proving that capitalism will never fund a just transition, and why collective finance is key to a sustainable, democratic energy future.
Discussion & Action – We’ll open the floor for practical ideas, experiences, and next steps.
