Just looking at the way that the events are being structured, it seems that the people looking for work will have reduced opportunity to talk with each other and network.
This will skew the power balance in favour of the companies that are hiring…
While this is annoying from a worker’s solidarity perspective, the fact that they are having to do this shows their weakness to tech workers being organised. 
We need to do more because it is working…
