Hi Chris,

Thanks for your question. We are yet to incorporate, as we are still in the early days (the above link is not us). We are running a distributed team across UK, EU and US. Any advice on setting up international cooperative structures would be very welcome!

I haven’t set up an international co-op but I guess you will need to pick a country to register in to start with… if you pick the UK I expect you will need to change your name as it is exactly the same as the Loom Collective Limited registered at Companies House already…

You could contact Co-operatives UK for advice and / or you could ask on the workers.coop forum:

Will people be employed by the co-op? If so you will have to consider the issues of national tax, holidays and other terms and conditions — you might want these to be equal for all employees?
