Greetings everyone I am a software engineer at Repowering London where we help setup energy co-ops and manage the operations of their solar installations. For the past two years, I’ve been working on a web app to automate many of these processes to keep up with the increasing number of projects we manage.
In 2026 we’re teaming up with Sharenergy to take this (as well as another project to manage community share offers) to turbocharge development of an open-source suite of digital tools for the community energy sector (job advert incoming on Job Board!)
Sounds similar to a nice project near me, down in Bath –> https://www.bwce.coop/ - maybe they’d be interested in the tool you’re developing, I vaguely know one person from the project.
They’re also able to offer a grant programme that supports a significant number of small projects locally in very meaningful ways –> Bath and West community energy grant
Hi @tim_minshall Nice to see you here! We originally exchanged an email or two in the early days of our community energy CRM project, which eventually become NookCRM.
I can’t wait to hear more about your web app and tooling (is the other CiviShares?). Also, I wonder if this is the kind of thing you’d like to publicly trumpet? In the first half of 2026 we’re looking to curate more tech-for-community-energy events at our events space in Finsbury Park, SPACE4. Let me know if this is something you’d like to be included in.
Hi @RichardE yes I remember! Hope things are going well your end.
Yes the other part is CiviShares and yes it would be awesome to get involved with some events at SPACE4. I’ll talk with the necessary people and get back to you
