Some people in our co-operative and in our union have been involved in organising regionally for the Women’s Strike on International Women’s Day (March 8th 2018).
We have seem huge feminist mobilisations in recent years from Argentina to
Poland, from Ireland to Mexico as women and non binary people take to the
streets to defend themselves and their rights. Though the struggle in the UK has
yet to ignite on the same scale, we are hoping to lay the foundations of a powerful feminist movement that will build class conciousness for people of all genders.
Our co-operative will be on strike for the day both in the work sense and for those of us that are women and non-binary, in a broader context of a social strike.
I was just wondering if any any CoTech co-operatives are going to be taking any action? I know some of the non-techy co-operatives in my region will also be out on that day.
