I was just watching this video on Pair Programming and wondered if this is particularly popular among IT worker coops. What are your thoughts?

Just started doing this with a friend for a P2P open source project. Really enjoying it.
I really really recommend tmate for a tool to work on this stuff together. It’s based on Tmux which a lot of people use a lot already and its brilliant.

I’ve found it works quite well for web stuff, where there’s multiple ways to do things correctly, and the tasks are relatively simple to explain and quite modular. Does depend on you actually liking the developer you’re working with though.

Within thepavilion.io we regularly pair program on projects as a way to teach and learn from each other. Mainly we use screensharing, so that one person is ‘driving’ and screen sharing.
