Freelance/contractor developer support for Forum for the Future

We have worked with Forum for the Future on their Power-Paired tool for 3 years. They are now looking to bring the product management more in house to bring down costs and hire a contractor developer direct to keep supporting the tool. If you, or someone you know might be interested, please do get in touch with them.

Here is what they are looking for:

Developer needed for community energy platform
PowerPaired is a project by Forum for the Future, an international sustainability NGO, which aims to grow the amount of community-owned renewable energy projects across the UK. It does this by sharing content to encourage community energy groups and asset owners to start projects, and to matchmake the two groups so that they can work together.

The PowerPaired website has two sub-sites - a WordPress site (the content), and a full-stack JavaScript app (the matchmaker).

The matchmaker is embedded in an iframe on the matchmaker page. It is a full-stack JavaScript app with a React front-end and a MongoDB database.

Forum for the Future is looking for a developer to help them maintain the site and improve its user journey.

Skills Required:

  • WordPress
  • PHP
  • JavaScript
  • React
  • NodeJS
  • MongoDB

If you can demonstrate sustainability passion or experience, that is a bonus.

To apply, please send your CV and portfolio to jacq@jacquelineculleton.com by 27th February , along with a cover letter detailing which skills of the above that you regularly use and for what projects, and your day rate.
